About UNICEF Innovation Fund
In order to give early-stage (seed) funding to for-profit technology start-ups creating software solutions utilizing cutting-edge technologies for climate change, the UNICEF Venture Fund is looking to make up to US$100K in equity-free investments.
We are searching for startups that use cutting-edge technology for climate analytics and forecasts, greener economies, reducing disaster risk due to climate change, carbon offsetting or emission reduction, or youth engagement in climate action.
We invite you to submit an application if your product is registered in one of UNICEF’s program countries, has a functional prototype, has outcomes that can be shown, and is (or might be) open-source licensed.

Who is Eligible Candidates?
• You must be registered as a private company in a UNICEF programme country;
• You are working on open source technology solutions or willing to be open-source under the following licenses or their equivalent: BSD, GNU, MIT (software), CERN, MIT, TAPR (hardware), or CC-BY (content);
• You have an existing prototype of the solution with promising results from initial pilots;
• Your solution has the potential to positively impact the lives of children.
