The Ford Opportunity Program was founded by Hallie E. Ford (1905-2007), a founder of The Ford Family Foundation, to help single parents pursue a college education.

Applications from single parents are still greatly welcomed. Students from Oregon and Siskiyou County, California are eligible for up to 96 renewable scholarships each year.
