a) Finance Associate

Job Location: Lagos


Job Summary for Recruitment at Wakanow

  • By locating, maintaining, and assessing information and recommending actions, it supports management planning and decision-making.

Tasks and Responsibilities for Recruitment at Wakanow

  • Performs quantitative analysis to define the financial condition.
  • Identifies outcomes and potential rewards to evaluate optional plans.
  • Contributes to the team’s work by completing pertinent tasks as necessary.
  • Keep both the financial and cash budgets up to date.
  • Does financial analysis of new and existing products (ROI, Cost/Benefit, NPV).

b) IT Auditor

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary for Recruitment at Wakanow

  • Conduct audit engagements for all network security and digital channels to ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines,
  • Investigate system errors,
  • Review system access administration and recommend appropriate controls to improve the systems and processes.

  • Follow up on outstanding audit issues
  • Review of Network and User Administration activities
  • Audit of Information Security
  • Conduct audit of Web and Mobile solutions
  • Audit of Partnership and Collaboration
  • System Investigations
  • Coordinate awareness sessions on Information Security
  • Conduct Network Security audit -IT infrastructure
  • Conduct audit of the digital channels – collection and payment channels
  • Identify control deficiencies in Technology division (audit, risk assessment of people,process, infrastructure) and escalate deficiencies to stakeholders
  • Prepare audit reports

Requirements/Experience for Recruitment at Wakanow

  • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 4-5 years of experience
  • Good understanding of the banks standard operating procedures
  • Good knowledge of PCIDSS
  • Good understanding of networks
  • Good knowledge of Information system controls

c) Legal Associate

Job Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Legal Associate shall be responsible for monitoring and/or advising on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements.
  • The Legal Associate shall also ensure the company complies with the statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines as observed in the insurance industry.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.
  • Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.
  • Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.
  • Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.
  • Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
  • Review and advice management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.

Applicant must be:

  • A graduate Degree in Law (minimum of Second Class Lower).
  • A minimum 5 – 7 years of post NYSC experience.
  • Member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Functional/ Technical:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law; commitment and enthusiasm in the delivery of the organizations objectives.
  • Good understanding of general and specific Company and commercial law.


  • Good research skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
