1. Scholarship for Students Pursuing One Academic Year of Study
For 11 months, this category offers sponsorship.
Students at the Confucius Institute (Classroom), foreign Chinese language teachers, students majoring in Chinese, and top HSK test scorers are all eligible to apply.
The grant is not available to foreign students who are now enrolled in Chinese universities.
The applicant must receive at least a 180 on the HSK Test (Level 3) and a 60 on the HSKK Test (Beginner Level).
Alternately, the applicant should have a minimum BCT (A) score of 180 and a minimum BCT score of 180. (Speaking).
2. Scholarship for Students in One-Semester Studies
This category offers a five-month sponsorship.
The applicant should have no prior experience studying in China, but must also have a minimum HSK Test (Level 2) score of 120 and a minimum HSKK score of 40. (Beginner Level).
Alternately, the applicant should have a minimum BCT (A) score of 100 and a minimum BCT (B) score of 120. (Speaking).
