ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship – Applications for the ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship are now being accepted from eligible students. It is a fully financed scholarship offered by the University of Auckland to all students.
About the ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship
The University of Auckland, which was established in 1883, has more than 40,000 students, with approximately 10,000 graduating each year.
The scholarship requires new, full-fee paying international students from ASEAN nations to enroll full-time in a PGDip or Master’s degree program with 120 or more credits, excluding master’s by thesis or undergraduate degrees (with abroad secondary or post-secondary qualifications).
For new international students from ASEAN nations enrolling in undergraduate, master’s, or postgraduate degrees, there is a scholarship of up to $10,000 available to cover tuition costs.

Benefits of ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship
Up to $10,000 for either postgraduate study or undergraduate study.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to attract new international students of high calibre from ASEAN countries to enrol full-time.
Requirements for ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship
To be eligible for the University of Auckland ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship, they expect applicants to meet the following conditions:
1. Applicants must be an international student from an ASEAN country.
2. Applicants must be either a new student who has received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission.
3. Applicants enrolled or enrolling full-time in either a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) or Master’s degree of 120 points or more, excluding masters by thesis.
4. Applicants for an undergraduate degree (applying with overseas secondary or postsecondary qualifications) at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland.
5. Students who have already commenced study at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland.
6. Students who have undertaken any tertiary level study in New Zealand, or students enrolling in a Business Master’s program in the Graduate School of Management (GSM).
7. Excluding the Master of Business Analytics and Master of Supply Chain Management.
8. Applicants must have proof of English Language proficiency.
