ABUTH was established as institute of health in 1968 by statute 15 of the ABU law by the then Northern Nigerian government with the objective of providing facilities for training of doctors and other health professionals and for the provision of health care to the people. The Hospital (ABUTH) is located in a town known as Shika along Zaria-Sokoto road in Zaria, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, North West Nigeria.
It is a tertiary and a referral hospital where cases beyond the primary and secondary health facilities are being referred for proper management. The Hospital is a teaching hospital where the training of student medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses and laboratory technologists, laboratory technicians, pharmacy technicians, radiographers, opticians etc. are taken place.

ABUTH Recruitment Qualifications
Candidates must possess the necessary academic qualifications and provisional registration with the regulatory bodies.
Candidate for the post of Registrar II in any of the specialties must possess an MBBS Degree from a recognized University (by MDCN) plus the Primary Fellowship Certificate in the intended course of study.
Candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess Exemption letter, whichever is applicable.
Salary
This is as applicable in the Federal Civil Service of the Federation.
